What is it about NG that makes it harder, is it just the very enticing pond and seeds combination?

Many rooms, such as Norn Garden, and genomes such as TWB can increase the difficulty, adding to the attention and requirements to keep Norns happy!

So, apparently a current trend with mods is that some mods deliberately make the game harder, to appeal to veteran players who want a new challenge. 

What are some mods that in your opinion, fit this trend for the Creatures series, and why?

I'm not talking about torture mods or filling a world with poorly designed COBs that confuse creatures and seeing if they survive, I guess some mods I'm thinking about would be like the Hard Mode, or Hands Off!, or the Seasonal Wolfling Run Tools (with Garden Box edibles and removing the original food sources).  Maybe even the True WarmBloods would fit this trend?  What do you think?  Do you know of any examples for C1 and C2?

I have perused your archive often in the past few years to find "lost" and rare gems from the community.

I am another Animal Crossing player! I've been getting back in since the summer and the 2.0 update was just wild to see. Not got the DLC yet but hopefully soon.

I've got the DLC, i've done a few houses now. I'm not 3 star yet, so i don't have access to Harvs new stuff or the frog islands.

The update had me pick it back up again too! Mostly I have just been planting absurd amounts of produce.

Same here! I started a fresh island! My town hall tent is getting upgraded, no nook machine for me tomorrow, stocked up on some tickets to keep me busy tomorrow.

I have a thing that mimics amiibo, so I cant wait to start picking villagers!
