::----- Creatures Update 2.txt -----::
If you have problems after installing the Creatures Update 2 pack the solution to your problems may well be answered here.

1) Is the Health kit crashing on the Drives and Needs Page? If so you need a new sprite file for this Kit. You can obtain this from the Creatures web site or get the latest copy of the Update Pack which now includes this file.

2) Is the Owners Kit crashing on the Photo Album Page? This is rectified in the updated Owners Kit now in the Creatures 1.0.2 Update Pack.

3) Are you experiencing odd behaviour and/or error messages from some or all of the Kits? This is most likely due to problems with updating the DLLs. You should have encountered a message saying that a DLL file was not installed because the file already exists. If you got this message it would have said something similar to "Not copying C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\#####.DLL, file already exists", where ##### is either MSVCRT, MSVCIRT or MFC42.

The problem is that the versions of these DLL files in your Windows System directory are out of date and need to be removed. Create a directory in you system directory called "Old DLLs" and move MSVCRT.DLL, MSVCIRT.DLL and MFC42.DLL in the "Old DLLs" directory. Windows will not allow you to move the files if they are being used by another program. You may therefore have to shut down every other running program (including TSR programs) before you can move the DLLs. Once you have removed the DLLs from your system directory re-run the Creatures Update 2 pack. You WILL get error messages stating that backups can not be made of the Kits, this is intended and just means that your old Kits are still going to be found in the Backup directory. However you should NOT get any errors when the installer attempts to copy in the DLL files.

A copy of this file has been copied to your Creatures directory, named "Creatures Update 2.txt" for future reference.
